Pear Blossoms

I'm a week late, but so what. Happy Spring!

I couldn't decide which one I like better. Which one do you like and why?

They are all beautiful. I would love to look out my window right now and see that!! I see half melted snow, mud, rain and fog. UGH!! Happy Spring to you too!

My favorite (they're all beautiful, btw) is the third one. The main reason that I chose it: the composition. The in-focus blossom is centered, while the out-of-focus one provides a nice contrast and balancing weight, highlighting the delicacy of the flower. The third photo is also a little more unusual and lends itself to all sorts of metaphorical interpretations.

Well now that I've read Niobe's comment, I'm a bit hesitant to post mine that says, "I like the first one because you can see the pretty petals."

:-)

But it is true, the first one is just so sweet to me with its little white petals. I wish I could see that kind of stuff up here--I don't know when the last time I saw a blooming flower was. I miss it!

So pretty. I would usually say the top one - b/c there are two of them definitely in focus (you get this). Today, though, I like the third one best. It reminds me that we are all surrounded by things/beings/angels that are out of focus...that we may not be able to see. Okay, so maybe I'm a bit deep today :-) Mainly, the third pic makes me think of this baby I'm now carrying - how she is surrounded by people (earthly and heavenly) ensuring that she gets here to us!

Hi there

Just found your blog and wanted to say that I'm so sorry for all you've been through. Your bravery is inspiring.

I look forward to reading more and wish you lots of luck on your journey.

Take care, N

All three are lovely, but I think I like the second one the best. I like how the flower on the left is out of focus, allowing the one on the right to be brought forward.

I am so glad that each day brings us closer to sunny spring weather. It has been slow in coming, and the bits of sunshine that we do have are so very appreciated.

Thanks for posting these beautiful photos.

I like the first one because the petals are so crisp and white and also because it took me forever to get this shot because the wind kept blowing and making my camera unfocus. And because of what mrs. Muelly said :-)

I like the second one because there are two, and when I see things in pairs i think of my boys. But also because one is more dominant that the other and it's almost a shadow of the one on the fore front. And the stamens stand out so clearly.

And I like the third because though it's unfocused and most of the picture doesn't make sense, it still makes sense. Mr. H didn't like this one because he said the unfocused flower blended into the flower petal in the center and you couldn't tell where one ended and the other began, but that's why I like it. It's almost like there's a flower saying "peek-a-boo look at me!" although it's subtle and tries to blend in, it still stands out.

Alright, they say a picture is worth a thousand words and I just used them all :-)
